WARE, England (AP) — Buffalo Bills edge rusher Von Miller says it's a “safe bet” that he'll make his season debut against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday. Miller, who sustained a knee injury last November, said Friday there's a “94 1/2 percent” likelihood of him suiting up at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. “I am excited to play American football in front this crowd,” said Miller, the NFL’s active leader in sacks. He tore a ligament and sustained cartilage damage in his right knee during a win at Detroit last Thanksgiving Day. Under NFL rules, Miller opened a three-week window in which he’s allowed to practice before he’s required to be activated or returned to the injured list.

CNN —The Jacksonville Jaguars won on its 10th game in London, beating the Atlanta Falcons 23-7 at Wembley Stadium on Sunday as the 2023 NFL International Series kicked off. Sunday’s game is the first of five international games the NFL has implemented as part of their ever-expanding International Series. Sunday’s game was the Jaguars’ 10th in London – the most of any team in the NFL. The Falcons struggled to create any meaningful offense during the first half, with Ridder compiling a second quarter to forget. As a high-school student in Albert Lea, Minn., in the mid-1950s, Steve Leuthold led a rockabilly band called Steve Carl & the Jags, sounded a lot like Elvis and even recorded a few songs in Memphis. Later, he was known among friends as a tireless party animal. He owned a bar near Minneapolis, invested in a brewery and married three times, including once in a saloon. At his summer home on Bailey Island in Maine, he grew potatoes.
